Can’t remember how long I’ve had the original concept album, and have been waiting for years to see this musical come into fruition. At long last it looks like it is headed for the Bailiwick in Chicago next month for a limited engagement. Too bad I will not be able to make it and wish Mr. DeYoung all the success. I heard rumors of the Disney version coming out, too. Their version (Disney) is too candy-coated and happy happy. DeYoung is closer to the original Victor Hugo novel would be very proud of this version.
